October Scrapbook

I love when that crisp, fall air starts rolling in. Although it's not great for my migraines, it's good for the soul. This October we kicked things off with my youngest sister's sweet 16th birthday party! I can't believe how old my baby sister is getting and what a wonderful young woman she is becoming. All of the family got to stop by for the party and there was a lot of great food (my favorite was the pumpkin bars).

Soon after, we ventured to the CenterBrook Drive-In movie theatre in Martinsville, Indiana. This was my second time going to a drive in and it was a much more enjoyable experience (last time we packed a bunch of people into a hot car in the middle of the summer). Fall time is definitely the time for a drive-in movie. They screened Casper and then the new Beetlejuice and we stayed for both. Piper took her neighbor friend along with her and the two of them had a blast playing on the playground, getting snacks, and staying up way later than they're allowed. They even had employees dressed up and were decorated for Halloween.

Another fun thing we did this October was go to Lark Ranch in Greenfield Indiana. It has a pumpkin patch, corn maze, carnival rides, a train, and so much more. We spent nearly 5 hours there because there was so much to do with an entry fee of only $20. We could've stayed all day. This place was a new favorite and we definitely will keep going back year after year!

Finally, Halloween of course! Piper dressed up as a zombie cheerleader this year and her friend did as well. We walked around with her friend and her parents to trick or treat. Piper knew so many kids in the neighborhood and some didn't even recognize her because of her zombie makeup. She had so much fun. I didn't feel the best the whole night but I pushed through and we got more than enough candy just from our neighborhood!
